Auli joshimath

With its spectacular and longest slopes over 2500 mts high mountains it has a popular sport for skiers. Every year traveller enjoys hitting and splashing the snow of Auli. Just after the year 2011 the 1st South Asian Games Event held in this place has attracted people. Above 10 km hiking from Auli there is a huge grass ground name as Gurson Bugyaal and the whole region is covered under 5-10 feet of snow since January to mid of April.
The longest slope is a world famous thrilling ski yard for professional skies. Here round the year you will see many wonder of colorful nature and is a perfect paradise for the ski lovers.

Climate of Auli joshimath
Place is surrounded by high peeks which makes it cold round the year. As the summer session starts the temperature rise to max 25 °C through Jun to Aug and in winter it falls down to -15 °C through Jan to March. The snow fall may rise to 10 ft in peek. So if you are coming to here you must bring jackets even in summers.
How to reach Auli joshimath
Auli is located in Garhwal Himalays, about 250km away from Rishikesh and can be easily accessed by a 4km ropeway to Joshimath that offers panoramic views of peaks Nanda Devi, Kamet and Dronagiri. Auli offers immense opportunities to indulge in adventure activities such as skiing, trekking, sightseeing; Auli skiing being the most desired one! Nearest city to Auli is Joshimath here you can arrange your stay and food. Auli has only three hotels which are very expensive tariffs. So plan you stay in hotels of joshimath is very good. You can reach Auli from joshimath by road or by trekking also, both will take time around 30 mins. Camping in Auli is not allowed so you need to get down to Joshimath before 5 pm.
